Weekend Fun

This weekend Rick and I went out on a date Friday night. It is very important to us to be able to spend time one on one together, especially since Fiona was born. I had bought 2 tickets a couple of months ago on Living Social for a wine tasting in Fort Lauderdale. We only had a short time before they were going to expire, so we decided to go this weekend. It was held in a wine/liquor shop and it got crowed very, very quickly. They had different stations to taste different wines and a couple with liquors. They also had hors d'oeuvres of gourmet crackers, breads, dips, spreads, and cheeses. We had so much fun! It was really crowded though and we were packed in this little shop like sardines. Therefore, it made it difficult to maneuver around.

There was this lady at one station that we were having difficulty getting because of the crowd that said "You gotta get in there. You have to be aggressive." We said "We know, but there are too many people." She proceeded to ask us "Is this your first wine tasting?" We replied, "Yes, it is." She said "I can tell! Just push through and go up there." She was so funny and led the way to get herself and Rick and I some wine from that station. It's the south Florida way! Everything was really tasty and we had a wonderful time.

The original plan was to go to this, get dessert at a restaurant, and then go to a late movie starting at 9:45pm. We were finishing up our dessert and both agreed we were too tired to move on to the theater! Haha! We just laughed about that together at the table eating our dessert. We are definitely parents now. We are tired but very happy to be so.

Halloween is coming up and we are excited for it being Fiona's first. I ordered her costume and it came the other day in the mail. I was tickled when I got it. She's going to be a woopie cushion! When Halloween comes, we'll post pictures. Here's one of her in her "My First Halloween" jammies and her lady bug jammies. She looked so cute!

Fiona is incredibly funny and very vocal. She loves to yell and squeak. This is a video Rick took today of her yelling. We just laugh and laugh at her doing this daily.
