Stinky Winker

First of all, the title of this post "stinky winker" does not pertain to the first part, the soup, but to Fiona, the second part. I call her "stinky winker" sometimes, especially after her naps when she's extra happy and she likes it. :)

So, to start off, when I was 8 months pregnant I went to my friend's house in Miami. I hung out with her and her three kids for the afternoon and she made me lunch. She made me this soup! It's Chicken Enchilada Soup and it's so easy and good. After Fiona was born, she was going to bring me dinner one night and asked if she could bring this. I knew Rick would absolutely love it, so I said "please bring it on!" I was right! Rick loved it and raved about it. So, I just had to get the recipe so I could make it myself. It took me a while to get to it, but I finally got it from her and made it for the first time last night. It was delicious and we'll be eating leftovers tonight. :)

A few new things happened with Fiona this month that we've been meaning to share and document. Yesterday, I witnessed Fiona rolling over from her back to her front! She did it so well and afterwards didn't even notice she did anything significant. Here she is!

Just rolled over.

Fiona loves to play in her Exersaucer. She yells and squeals!

She gets cold in the morning when she gets up, so sometimes we put her jacket on. It's so cute, especially when the hood is on her head.

Playing in the morning.

Sometimes, Fiona likes to have some tummy time where she plays and talks to herself in her crib.

Fiona contemplating the meaning of life...

Fiona started solid food last week. We got her a highchair and she looks like such a big girl. She loves to eat. She's been doing so well with the new foods she's eating. She has already eaten rice cereal, green beans, squash, carrots, and pears. She loves them all and can't get enough. In between bites, she fusses because she can't wait for the next bite! She wants food and she wants it now. She's just hilarious. We love our sweet girl.

First solids day.

Last week, I was giving Fiona a bath and she started grunting right after we started and I thought "Oh no you're not going to poop in here!" It was so funny, but I snatched her up out of the bath before she could do anything. She didn't poop after that, so I put her back in. I bathed her and she was splashing around and towards the end of the bath, she started grunting again. The minute she did that, I went to snatch her up again, but she was too fast. There was poop in the tub! I just grabbed her up and died laughing. She was completely happy. She kept pooping by the way and I had to catch it. Once I got her cleaned up, I got the poop out of the tub, put her in her jammies, fed her, and put her to bed. I had to go back in there and disinfect the tub. Rick was at work that night and he laughed so hard when I told him about it.

As much as he can, Rick likes to give Fiona her bath. Last night, he was giving her the bath, then he walked into the kitchen while I was making dinner, looked at me and said "She just pooped in her tub." Hahaha! Stinky Winker struck again! She definitely lived up to her nickname that night. We just laughed together and Rick put her to bed.

Here's a onesie I randomly came across on Amazon.com the other day that I thought was funny, awesome, and appropriate for this story:

She is so cute! A perfect mix of you two.
We have had the poop-in-the-tub experience several times I'm afraid and you are right- it is funny and oh so not funny at the same time. ;)
