Date Night

On Sunday, Rick and I got to out on our first date since Fiona was born. We were so looking forward to spending some alone time together out of the house having fun. We decided to have an afternoon/evening date because Fiona's cranky scream time happens around 7 or 8 pm and we didn't want to subject a babysitter to that. Our sweet friend who we love, Mary aka Mee Moo, came over and watched Fiona while we were gone. She was so sweet to volunteer to watch our girl. Mary is super good with babies and we trust her totally. I had heard many moms say it was really hard to leave their baby for the first time, but I really didn't feel upset. Not that I don't treasure my little girl, but it just felt normal to be able to go out. It probably helped that the person watching her is a trusted friend and baby expert. :) Rick and I went to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie and went out to eat. We had a wonderful time. When we got home, Mee Moo gave a wonderful report. Fiona was a perfect angel for her and we were so happy about that. We were excited to get home and see our sweet baby. She's the best!
