Our little girl is here! She is 3 weeks old tomorrow! It's hard to believe that we are parents. She was born April 5th at 1:53 pm. She was 7 lbs. 4 oz. and 20 inches long. She is beautiful and precious and we love her so much. The first few weeks have been wonderful and hard at the same time. Now we know what all those parents have been talking about. :) The sleep deprivation is hard but we are getting used to it and getting into a routine. What a miracle they are! Just a few weeks ago that little sweetheart was in my tummy and is now on the outside. She's our baby and a living breathing person that will impact our lives forever. That's pretty amazing.
We had wonderful family in town to care for us for the first week or so which was very helpful. My sweet photographer sister, Jessica, did a photo shoot when she was here when Fiona was exactly one week old. She did a great job! The pictures are beautiful! I am terrible at remembering to take pictures and we need to document our daughter's life and growth. So, it's great that we have a talented photographer in the family.
We have had so much support from our friends and church family as well. We are truly blessed. We have been receiving regular meals. We have had many phone calls and people checking in and asking how we are doing. I have some sweet friends that are young moms that have been super supportive and helpful through the stressful first weeks. I pray and thank God for His guidance in moving us to a place where we have so much love and encouragement from our church community.
Needless to say, it's been a wonderful roller coaster ride so far. We love our little Fiona.
