Visits and Outings

Rick's mother, Trisha, came for a little pre-baby visit this past week. We had a great time. It was good timing since we were incapacitated somewhat just a few days before she arrived. She helped us out a lot. She got the chance to hang out with some of our friends and co-workers while she was here which was special. She also helped us out around the house and in getting organized for Fiona's arrival. Thanks, Trisha!


Rick and I are trying to spend a good deal of time together before the baby is born since we know we won't have a lot of honey time for the first couple of months. We got a coupon in the mail a few weeks ago for this nice restaurant in Aventura (really nice, ritsy area near our city of Hollywood). I guess they were advertising for new business and we were happy to oblige. It was a nice fine dining restaurant that specializes in steaks and seafood called Ocean Prime. As you know, we love to eat, especially new and fancy food. :) It's one of our favorite activities to go to new restaurants and try new foods.

Rick got some jumbo crab cakes with large asparagus and corn salsa. I am not a big seafood fan so I ordered a pork porterhouse with French beans and a rich jus. So good! We had a wonderful time and the decor and atmosphere were really nice. Thanks Ocean Prime for the discount and the opportunity to eat your wonderful food!
