20 Weeks (5 Months)

As of yesterday, I am officially halfway there! The 20 week mark is here and we are very excited about that. The morning sickness is getting better with every passing week and the belly is getting bigger. I have my next appointment with my doctor this week to check on her progress.

We have also purchased our daughter's crib, mattress, and dresser. With these additions, to the previous items we have bought, the nursery furniture is complete! Rick put the dresser and crib together last weekend and it looks great. It's so exciting to see everything set up and in its place. I am still debating on whether to get this cute table I found. The only thing I am concerned about is I don't want it to be tight or cluttered in there. The good thing is, it's still early and we have time to get everything just the way we want it. Once we get everything in place, I will paint a funky tree on the wall to finish it off. Can't wait!

Happy Thanksgiving this week to all of you. We love the fall weather and have missed it so much living in south Florida. It's still in the 80's here during the day and there no changing leaved or sweaters to be found. Palm trees and blooming flowers are everywhere and while it's beautiful, it's not festive. We went to Savannah, Ga. last year for Thanksgiving and we are starting to make it our tradition. We are returning this year with a welcome addition of Jessica and Adam, my sister and brother-in-law. We like to go there because it's closest attraction to us that's not beach. :) Plus, it is beautiful with Southern charm and one of the best parts is Good Food!

Rick has been working so hard getting his Christmas concert for church together that this will be a much needed break for him. We both are in need of a vacation. When we return home from Savannah, we feel recharged and rested. It will be a short and fun trip. We will post pictures later!

It's a Girl!!!!

We went to the doctor for our 18 week sonogram this week and we were so excited to find out that we are having a little girl! Now, Rick and I have got to settle on a name. Good luck to us. :) We can't wait to meet our little girl. It's so nice to be able to call our baby a "she" and "her." We wanted to post a picture of the sonogram but it's too dark. It was perfectly clear on the screen but when they printed it, you could barely see anything. Dang it!

I get so excited when I run an errand to Target and see the baby stuff. Even if I have no need to go over there, I just go to browse. They have this really nice quality organic cotton clothes and blankets from The Little Seed there and they are on clearance, so I bought a couple of things. I couldn't resist. I also bought a little baby book for her. I started it by putting all my sonogram pictures in it for her to look at one day.

I am so excited to start getting baby stuff. It's so cute and fun.
